การเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะของเอกอัครราชทูตโรเบิร์ต เอฟ โกเดค

       เมื่อวันพุธที่ ๑๘ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๖ เอกอัครราชทูตโรเบิร์ต เอฟ โกเดค (Mr. Robert F. Godec) เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย และคณะ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและหารือข้อราชการกับ นายฉัตรชัย บางชวด รองเลขาธิการสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ/รักษาราชการแทนเลขาธิการสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ โดยได้มีการหารือกันในประเด็นความร่วมมือระหว่าง สมช. กับสหรัฐฯ ในการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมและการดูแลผู้โยกย้ายถิ่นฐานในไทย ซึ่งเป็นการดำเนินการร่วมกันมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังคงเห็นพ้องถึงความสำคัญในการช่วยเหลือผู้โยกย้ายถิ่นฐาน ผู้อพยพ และผู้หนีภัยการสู้รบในไทยต่อไป เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามหลักการห้ามผลักดันกลับไปสู่อันตราย (non-refoulement) และหลักกฎหมายสิทธิมนุษยชนระหว่างประเทศ อันเป็นแนวทางดำเนินการหลักของไทย

       On Wednesday 18th October 2023, Ambassador Robert F. Godec paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chatchai Bangchuad Deputy Secretary – General/Acting Secretary – General of the National Security Council. The discussion focussed on the ongoing cooperation between Thailand and the United States of America on humanitarian assistance and protection of displaced persons and mixed movement of migration in Thailand. Both countries emphasised the importance of continuing supports to migrants and vulnerable groups and ensured to resume the flow of aids as following the international human rights and non-refoulement principles which are the main policy for Thailand.
