เมื่อวันที่ 20 ตุลาคม 2568 นายรัชกรณ์ นภาพรพิพัฒน์ รองเลขาธิการสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติได้ต้อนรับ Dr. Alexandra Siddall รักษาการอธิบดีด้านภูมิยุทธศาสตร์และความร่วมมือประจำสำนักการต่างประเทศ และการค้า กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ออสเตรเลีย และคณะ ในการเข้าพบหารือ ในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนไทย
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนหารือในประเด็นความมั่นคงที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ ๑) ภาพรวมความร่วมมือของไทยและออสเตรเลียในฐานะหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์และความร่วมมือในภูมิภาคอินโด-แปซิฟิก ๒) การแข่งขันทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ ๓) ความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจ และความสามารถในการฟื้นตัวทางเศรษฐกิจ และ ๔) ความมั่นคงทางทะเล และการปกป้องโครงสร้างพื้นฐานสำคัญทางทะเล อาทิ สายเคเบิ้ลใต้ทะเล
ทั้งนี้ ออสเตรเลียเห็นว่าไทยเป็นประเทศที่มีความสำคัญทางยุทธศาสตร์ในภูมิภาค และเห็นพ้องให้มีการกระชับความร่วมมือระหว่างกันต่อไป
On 20 October 2025, Mr. Ruchakorn Napapornpipat, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, received Dr.Alexandra Siddall, Acting First Assistant Secretary, Geostrategy and Partnerships Division, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australia, on the occasion of her visit to Thailand.
Both sides discussed key security issues, including: 1) Thailand–Australia cooperation as strategic partners and their collaboration within the Indo-Pacific region 2) strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific 3)economic security and economic resilience and 4) maritime security, including the protection of critical maritime infrastructure, such as submarine cables.
Australia views Thailand as a key strategic player in the region, and agrees to further strengthen security cooperation with Thailand in the future.
