Thailand is not only embracing the principles of the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI, but is also one of the first countries to put them into real action by completing a comprehensive national assessment using the Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM).
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, in collaboration with UNESCO, is moving forward with the establishment of the AI Governance Practice Center (AIGPC),a regional hub for learning, sharing best practices, and elevating ethical AI standards to the global stage affirming Thailand’s emerging role as a “Regional Anchor” in AI governance.
Thailand is not treating AI as just a concept—but a solution for real-world problems:
📍 Detecting over 3,000 fake news scenarios per day
📍 Supporting cybercrime and call center scam analysis
📍 Leading proactive efforts in ASEAN as Chair of the Regional Cybersecurity Centre
All initiatives are moving forward as planned, Thailand’s AI momentum remains uninterrupted, thanks to the National AI Committee, which ensures long-term policy continuity beyond political transitions.
