The National Security Council Meeting on the Situation along the Thailand – Cambodia Border
Today (8 December 2025), the Office of the National Security Council (ONSC) convened a National Security Council meeting, chaired by H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister, to receive an update on the situation along the Thailand –Cambodia border and to consider all measures available to Thailand in response to the situation.
The meeting agreed that all forms of military operations are permitted in response to the ongoing situation. Other necessary military actions are also permitted to protect Thailand’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in line with the right to self-defense and international law.
The ONSC, as the principal coordinating agency for national security policy implementation, will stand together with all relevant agencies to uphold Thailand’s sovereignty and protect the nation’s security to the best of its ability.
