เมื่อวันที่ ๖ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๙ นายฉัตรชัย บางชวด เลขาธิการสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ ได้ให้การต้อนรับ นายฝั่ม เหวียต หุ่ง (H.E. Mr. Pham Viet Hung) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนามประจำประเทศไทย พร้อมคณะ ในโอกาสเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงและการพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทย – เวียดนาม โดยมุ่งเน้นการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงในภูมิภาค ในโอกาสดังกล่าว เลขาธิการสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ ได้เน้นย้ำกลไกความร่วมมือระหว่างสำนักงานสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติและกระทรวงความมั่นคงสาธารณะของเวียดนาม ภายใต้กรอบการประชุมคณะทำงานร่วมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือด้านการเมืองและความมั่นคง (Joint Working Group on Political and Security Cooperation: JWG – PSC) ซึ่งเน้นความร่วมมือในการป้องกันและปราบปรามอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ อาทิ ปัญหายาเสพติด การค้ามนุษย์ การหลบหนีเข้าเมืองแบบผิดกฎหมาย ความร่วมมือด้านการทำประมงผิดกฎหมาย ขาดการรายงาน และไร้การควบคุม (IUU Fishing) รวมถึงการฉ้อโกงทางออนไลน์
ในการนี้ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แสดงความยินดีในโอกาสครบรอบ ๕๐ ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย – เวียดนาม และเห็นพ้องร่วมกันในการยกระดับความร่วมมือในฐานะหุ้นส่วนยุทธศาสตร์รอบด้าน โดยเฉพาะด้านความมั่นคง เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อันดีและความร่วมมือต่อไปในอนาคต
On 6 February 2026, Mr. Chatchai Bangchaud, Secretary-General of the National Security Council of Thailand, welcomed H.E. Mr. Pham Viet Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Thailand. On the occasion of a courtesy call and discussions on promoting security cooperation and strengthening relations between Thailand and Viet Nam, especially focusing on enhance regional security.
On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the National Security Council underscored the importance of cooperation mechanisms between the Office of the National Security Council of Thailand and the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam under the framework of the Joint Working Group on Political and Security Cooperation (JWG-PSC), which emphasizes the cooperation in preventing and combating transnational crimes, including drugs trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration, illegal unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, as well as online fraud and Scams.
In this regard, both sides expressed their satisfaction on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Viet Nam and shared the vision to elevate bilateral cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, particularly in the area of security, in order to promote close relations and sustained cooperation in the future.
